At the end of February 2022, Russian troops invaded Ukraine. In less than three months, more than 10 million people have been displaced and six million have left the Ukrainian borders to find refuge in neighboring countries. According to the UNHCR, 100 million people (1.25% of the world’s population) are living in exile today. According to the UN, this number will increase to 300 million by 2050 with the acceleration of global warming and the political and economic instability of some countries.

Not anticipating migration, and not thinking about reception and inclusion, means wasting the potential and talents it generates for the mutual benefit of host societies and newcomers.

Today, thousands of non-governmental actors, citizens, and companies are joining forces to develop concrete solutions for a more humane and virtuous inclusion system as well as imagine together those of tomorrow.

For this year’s World Refugee Day, we chose to highlight those successful initiatives all week and suggest events gathering actors from the non-profit world, the business world, and the research community to meet, discuss and continue imagining together solutions for tomorrow.
